Using A European Lease To Purchase A Boat

If there is a single concept which has revolutionized the car industry in recent years, it is the idea of leasing a vehicle rather than owning it. Nowhere has this been seen more dramatically than in the business sector where leasing is now the standard for car ownership.

Leasing for boats has been available in Europe for several years, but it is a purchasing option that is little understood by the boating community in general, and particularly in the UK, despite the fact that it can offer significant VAT advantages whether the vessel is used for private or commercial use. The two most popular schemes are those used in Italy and France.

The Best European Tax Havens

Switzerland

Cyprus

Malta

Monaco

Gibraltar

Channel Islands

Ireland

Isle of Man

Andorra

United Kingdom

It’s not only Europeans that want to live and work in the above countries. I’ve come across a lot of US expats moving to Europe for both the climate (e.g. to avoid the hurricane season of the Caribbean), as well as to experience some of the rich culture.

In terms of low taxes, Andorra and Monaco are probably the top two countries. Andorra doesn’t levy any taxes at all, and whereas Monaco does levy a limited inheritance tax and business profits tax, for most people neither of these will impact significantly.

What Does It Cost To File For Bankruptcy In Toronto? A Trustee Describes The Hidden Costs

As a personal bankruptcy trustee in Toronto, Ontario, one of the most common questions I am asked is “What does it cost to go bankrupt in Toronto?” It may surprise you to learn that the cost of bankruptcy is different in Toronto than it would be in other cities in Canada, even though the bankruptcy process is legislated by the federal government, and therefore the rules are the same for everyone in Canada.

The reason for this difference is that one of the costs of bankruptcy is the surplus income payment you must make to your trustee each month, and since residents of Toronto tend to have higher incomes than people living elsewhere in Canada, the cost of bankruptcy can be higher.

Canadian Income Trusts Time To Buy Or Dump?

On October 31, 2006 — now dubbed the “Halloween Massacre” — Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty shocked the income investing world by announcing that beginning 2011 all Canadian income trusts would be taxed.

The law that enables Canadian companies to switch their business structure from a corporation to a trust that’s free of taxes so long as their net profits are returned to the trust unitholders, goes back to 1985, but was little known outside the energy and natural resources industries.

Option Trading Or Cfd Trading?

When it comes to trading leveraged financial instruments, there are a number of alternatives out there to choose from. I’m about to share with you my thoughts comparing the two most popular of these alternatives - Option Trading and CFD Trading. By the time you’ve finished reading, you will hopefully be forewarned of some of the advantages and traps, based on my personal experience, successes and failures.

I started option trading about five years ago after attending one of Nik Halik’s seminars. My initial approach to the markets was based on a very directional approach. If I expected the share price to rise or fall and I got it right, I made money. If it didn’t go the way I expected, I lost money… simple as that.
