Spending More Than You Make

So many people today are looking for something. Something new, something better, something more. The problem isn’t the looking or the wanting. It’s the spending.

So much of the way we live is based on wanting something new or better or larger. The nice, leather furniture, manicured lawn, new cars, boat, two car garage, need to be better than the neighbors and need to fit in with an upper class are hiding the credit cards, auto loans, mortgage, rent-to-own bill and insecurity.

10 Steps To Improve Your Financial Situation

Here are ten steps you can follow to help improve your personal financial situation and inevitably save more money:

1. Pay Yourself Weekly

This may seem a bit odd, but this is an excellent way to start building a substantial savings. On a weekly basis, pay yourself $25-$50 and immediately put it in a safe place. You can even open a special savings account where this weekly payday can by placed to help minimize or eliminate impulsive spending. Think about it this way, if you paid yourself $25 a week, in two years you’ll have accumulated $2600 (not including interest)!!! That’s almost $3000 from just putting $25 aside every week! Take advantage of this money-saving opportunity. Simple, yet very effective.

Are You Saving Time Or Money?

We have become a society of service and convenience. And we?re paying the price with money out of our pocketbooks.

How many times have you bought a coffee at the convenience store? How many packages of pre-cut frozen potatoes do you buy in a month? Do you buy the pre-cut and shrink wrapped fruit and vegetables in the produce department? Or how about individually packaged chicken breasts portions that cost almost twice as much (per pound) as a package of chicken breasts. Have you ever bought a pre-mixed item, such as anti-freeze coolant, so you don?t have to waste the time mixing it yourself? Have you ever calculated how much ?convenience? items cost you?

Become A Saver Not A Spender: Become A John Frugal And Not A William Spendall!

Our personality and lifestyles affects our ability to save. Most every action we take (including those not immediately related to buying something) is based on whether we are likely to spend money or save money. We need to change our way of thinking.

Yes You Can Get Ahead

?Whatever you can conceive and believe, you can achieve.? Wrote Napoleon Hill decades ago in Think and Grow Rich. It summates how people achieve their dreams and how it is possible for you to save your way to success.

Irregardless if you?re a Democrat and you think the Republicans are destroying this country, or you?re a Republican and you think the Democrats are destroying this country. Irregardless of the high oil and gas prices or the increasing amounts of natural disasters, or the political storm and wars in the Middle East. Irregardless of the higher gas prices you pay at the pump just to drive to work, or the mounting bills, or ?everything seems to cost more?, or you didn?t get the raising you were expecting. Irregardless, you can still get ahead.

Everything we do and everything we spend our money on reflects how we want others to think of us?our status in society. What type of clothes we buy, the automobile we drive, the food we eat, the entertainment we indulge in, and what we do for leisure time reflects, at least partially, our desire to impress others, to ?fit in? the crowd we want to feel a part o
