After he asked a number of questions about our assests, our professions, salaries, plans, etc. he found that we could combine our debts into a nice Mortage Equity Loan. Then he crunched the numbers and spun off some facts and figures.

What Is Index Trading?

Almost everyone has heard about index trading but fewer than 5% of personal traders actually do it. One of the most heavily traded indexes is our very own S&P 500 and it trades hundreds of thousands of contracts every day.

As you know every stock fits somehow into a sector. For instance DELL is in the overall tech sector, WorldCom is in the Telecom sector etc., inside of every sector is a handful of companies that make, produce, or service something that we can classify. So with Dell, and Gateway and Compaq all in the overall umbrella of technology, they are further boiled down into box makers or in other words computer manufacturers. Well there is an index for the box makers! In fact there are over 700 indexes listed on the various exchanges and each index will have a number of stocks in it that represent a sector. So first, why trade an index?

It has become an ingrained and undesirable quality in our society. How many times have you said ?I’ll do it tomorrow? and it never gets done. Finding An Advisory Service

It depends on your level of understanding of the market and the amount of money you have. If you a sophisticated investor with a substantial amount invested you are probably already receiving more than one. If you have very little market savvy it will be difficult to choose one that fits the size of your portfolio. If you are just getting started my advice is don’t buy one - yet. In the last 100 years we have had 30 bear markets which are defined as the overall market going down more than 20 percent and some more than 40 percent. The NASDAQ recently tumbled 78%. Even the best stocks and mutual funds will go down in a bear market because they act like ships - when the tide goes out all ships go down with it. You don’t want to have any market positions at that time.

The following paper will explain how annuities affect TVM (Time Value of Money) problems and investigate outcomes. Starting with annuities, it came to light that annuities work best when based on longevity since the principal investment is broken down and distributed over the term of the annuity.

An annuity is a series of regular periodic payments comprising principal and interest. In the case of retirement, an annuity is usually purchased from an insurance company who then pays the purchaser a monthly amount while still alive. Annuities may have more complicated features such as indexing, guarantee periods and benefits payable to a spouse or other beneficiary after death. (Agents, 2006)
